Portugal Ventures introduces start-ups at its center in Berlin

After opening two accelerators in the United States, in San Francisco and in Boston, Portugal Ventures has opened a new accelerator in the heart of Europe, thus continuing its mission to support Portuguese start-ups by giving them the tools they need to be competitive and successful on a global scale.
The official grand opening will take place on 11th June, where Portuguese start-ups will be pitching and networking with players of the ecosystem – entrepreneurs, start-ups, big tech companies, venture capital firms and business angels, establishing new contact networks and gaining knowledge which will help them grow. It will also be an opportunity to showcase Portugal’s entrepreneurship capabilities to the German community in Berlin.
Portugal Ventures’ accelerator is located at Betahaus, in the heart of Berlin’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. Its partnership with Leonhard Ventures and betahaus will give Portugal Ventures access to a network of contacts and investors in German-speaking countries and in central Europe which will be an asset to the companies backed by Portugal Ventures.
Since January 2009, betahaus has been located on Prinzessinnenstraße, near the Moritzplatz underground station, in the district of Kreuzberg, close to the center of Berlin.
betahaus offers quiet and private work spaces, as well as common areas, where one can mingle with the rest of the community. It also has meeting rooms, event spaces, an electronics lab and a coffee shop on the lower floor.
This gives Portuguese companies the opportunity to have access to one of the most dynamic ecosystems in Europe with a host of start-ups, a wide range of incubators/accelerators, and a strong community of business angels and investors.
The Portuguese companies which will be pitching at the event are: Biosurfit, Bullet Solutions, Coimbra Genomics, Follow Inspiration, Indie Campers, Possible Answer, Processware, Streambolico, Treat-U, Xhockware and Zaask.
Portugal Ventures’ accelerator in Berlin is open to all its portfolio companies and to the entire technology-based entrepreneurship ecosystem.
