VC-Exit: Creathor Venture, KfW & GMPVC verkaufen Danato an Gruner + Jahr

Creathor Venture, one of the leading European Venture Capital firms, announces the exit of Danato GmbH, the popular German e-commerce market place for gifts, to Gruner + Jahr.

Danato ( was founded in 2011 by Jörg Überla and has been growing rapidly since. Supported by Creathor and the other investors KfW and GMPVC, Danato has become Germany’s No. 1 online gift player with more than 250,000 orders in total fulfilled and delivered to happy customers and gift recipients. The marketplace offers its customers gift ideas from a widerange of product categories. Users can receive targeted gift recommendations depending, for example, on the recipient’s age, gender, personal interests and the occasion.
